A Word from Mrs. Taylor...

Written by: Brenna

Well friends, I have survived nine days as a first grade teacher. It is everything I expected it to be and then some. Sure I’ve had a few tough days and given a few attitude checks but honestly I wouldn’t trade this for anything. I love my school and I’m a part of an amazing first grade team who has been seriously so helpful and kind. I’ve got 18 people praying over my kiddos and it’s hard work all day long but I know this is bigger than me. So it’s all good.

I thought I would give y’all a peek into my classroom! I know I’ve been saying I would do an apartment reveal soon but for the entire summer, it’s looked like an office max blew up in here. I did get everything cleaned and organized though so honestly my next post will probably be an apartment reveal. So for now, you just get my classroom which is equally as cute if not cuter. I’d like to mention now that I don’t have any pictures of my “Drama Llama” and that is because he’s a little camera shy and doesn’t prefer to be touched. He does however, have the best listening ears ever. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. I didn’t have one person tattle today. #smallvictories Oh let me also add that on my door I switched out the cursive champion for one that matches the rest of the letters so you can read it better. It’s much cuter.

Well friends, here it is! I’ve made a few tweaks here and there but for the most part, it’s all working pretty well for me! Most of the items you see were purchased from Teachers Pay Teacher, Target, Ikea, Hobby Lobby and multiple dollar stores in Conroe! It was definitely a labor of love! I couldn’t have made this come together without the help of my friends and family. I have an amazing village that surrounds me daily. Talk about lucky!

I’m not trying to cut y’all short but it’s Monday night and that means I’m stuffing Tuesday folders! If you need links to any of this stuff please leave me a comment below and I will help you however I can!
