Orangetheory Fitness + Me

Written by Brenna

If you've been following our life update posts then you know I'm pretty consistent with my workouts. So much so that I've completed over 150 OTF classes in the last year. I originally started because some of my girlfriends in Fort Worth kept raving about it and it seemed like the perfect way to get bikini ready for a cruise we were all going on a few months later. Honestly, I planned on quitting after the cruise but never considered the fact that I would become completely obsessed with the classes. So here we are over a year later, still committed.

OTF Spring just celebrated their 1st birthday and made a giant banner with everyone who had done 100 classes or more! So cool.

I think what keeps me going is the fact that the classes are never the same and it's extremely challenging. Emphasis on the extremely. Sometimes I leave there looking like I showered with my clothes on, no joke. I'm proud of myself for staying consistent and sticking with something that pushes me mentally and physically. I like knowing that I'm leaving a little bit better than before. With the wedding right around the corner, I have promised myself I would be going a minimum of four times a week from here on out because that one uninterrupted hour is keeping me sane I swear. Plus, I've noticed that going three times a week is really me just maintaining my figure. Going more will give me the results I'm wanting. In addition to going more, I want to be a LOT better about sticking to healthy eating and not settling because I'm in a hurry or feeling lazy.

I'm hoping that by writing out the goals I want to reach by my wedding on this blog below, I'll feel more convicted when I'm feeling like cancelling the class so I can lay in bed. Which I've also been really good lately about NOT doing.

 • Increase my base pace to 6.6 MPH by Thanksgiving.
 • Hit my all outs at 10 MPH or more.
 • Hit 500 watts on the rower.
 • Row 500 meters in 1:00 or less.
 • Run a mile in under 8 minutes. Without dying.
 • Convince J.T. to join me for at least one class.
We finally made the board! Favorite partner workout ever.

I could probably talk about Orangetheory all day but I'll spare y'all for now. What are some of your fitness goals? I want to know, so please drop a comment below with what's keeping you motivated!
