The Soundtrack to Your Summer

What does summer feel like to you? Sure, it feels hot and sweaty and humid, but what else? Does it feel like road trips with the windows down? Like late nights gazing at the stars with tired, but eager eyes?

What does it look like? Lightning bugs in open fields? A clear blue lake perfect for splashing?

What about the way it sounds? A chorus of crickets outside your window? Laughter and off-tune singing? Well, sing along to these jams!

I made a playlist, y’all. For those of you that don’t know, I am into music. Like, I just really like music. I like concerts and finding new bands to listen to. I like jamming out to songs I first listened to when I was in middle school (shoutout to “Sugar We’re Going Down” and anything by Mayday Parade). I try to listen to a variety of genres to keep things interesting and I really like putting together playlists the evoke certain feelings.

My “Sunmer Jams” playlist makes me feel nostalgic, but not in a sad way. It has old tunes and new ones too, but all of them just feel like summer to me. Whether that’s partying at the beach with friends or spending a contemplative night outside under the stars. These songs just remind me of summer and I hope they make you feel that certain type of way too.
